In Awe Of: Erin Kawamata

This photo pretty much sums up why I’m in awe of Erin Kawamata: her calm in the face of the stalkerazzi. Just kidding. Kinda. 🙂

Erin Kawamata is an visual artist, a photographer, and a textile artist. She is also hilarious. She is also totally at home being Erin Kawamata. She is also my role-model for kind, ethical living.

She listens to everything carefully before she acts on it. She gives everyone the benefit of the doubt. She calls the aquarium the “sea zoo.” She has knit, sewn, glued and written me some of the nicest gifts I’ve ever recieved. In fact, they are so whimsical and numerous I’m thinking of making a segment on this here blog entitled “Stuff Erin’s Made for Me”

She is endlessly delighful and I feel so lucky to have her in my life.

  1. Such delightful PDA! The adoration here is tickle-worthy. I am going to cast my vote here and now for the post on “Stuff Erin’s Made Me.” And that necklace, that photo with the dramatic light – va-BOOM! I love it!

    1. Well. I really restrained myself here. Erin is about a million times cooler than I can actually talk about…but then I’d have to kill you. Srsly, the “Stuff Erin’s made for me” could be its own amazing blog…

Tell Ali all about it!
